Really need to steer clear of River Island in future! I get so haunted by an item of clothing or a product that I literally pine over it until I make the purchase. Which is annoying because I’m just getting better at the whole impulse buying thing. And the fact I’m going skiing in Andorra for Christmas has is giving me a ridiculous excuse to buy anything warm and faux fur related too. Hence this recent purchase of the River Island Faux Fur Collar Biker Jacket.
I spotted this at the end of October along with this waterfall jacket that I ended up buying. It was a difficult choice but I felt the waterfall jacket would be much more practical in the snowy weather because it was long. But after continuing to try on the faux fur collar biker jacket again and again and staring at it online over and over I knew I was going to end up buying it.
I was in Dundrum for the Shop and Rock sale and River Island had 20% off all stock. However the QUEUE was about 3 days long in there, no amount of discount would make me struggle to walk through the store to find anything and then face the torturous queue? No thank you! Fair play to the ladies that did, and all the lovely gentleman that pulled out their hair standing outside waiting.
I decided to use the Click and Collect option on the website because it worked so well for me last time, but devastating for me my size was no longer in stock! I panic phoned all the nearest stores that I could travel to within reason and one store held my size! I wouldn’t normally do that unless I knew I was definitely going to purchase!
I wore this recently at a Blogger meet up (photo below) and I got so many compliments! I love it. It looks like leather too which I love but the material is not as hard as leather, and I love the zip detail! You can take the fur off too and wear it without it if you’re getting too warm – and a steal at just €87! You can get this in Brown, Light Pink, White and with different colour collars. If you’re brave enough you can even get a yellow collar! But eh no. I’ll leave that one thanks! x
